The free volunteering opportunity in Sri Lanka
How our free volunteering program works
You may join us at any point in the year.
You can join for us 90 day blocks for up to 51 weeks.
You’ll volunteer a 4 day week, with 3 days free each week.
You’ll have opportunities for extended breaks within each 3 month visa period.
You will be deployed across a variety of locations, with a maximum of 3 weeks with any one host family.
You’ll be housed with our teachers in their homes
Your extended breaks can be at our central campus (free with full board), or in hotels that you choose at your expense.
*You’ll join us on a business visa for educational training (you’ll be enrolled on our Basic Teaching English as a 2nd Language course to support that application), with visas renewable after 30, 60, 90, 90, and 90 days up to 51 weeks.

Food purchased outside the designated accommodation.
($5 - $10 pcm) Sim charges
($75) Prior to the first visa renewal, you join an English language teacher training course.
($240 / $20 per week) for GAFV’s ongoing support and UK liability cover, applied prior to each visa renewal.
