You will join our partners, themselves medical professionals, bringing a range of benefits to them. E.g.
patient admin support
doctor and nurse admin support
you could engage in hands-on practical support for medical staff.
This role is a unique opportunity to give your time, skills, and knowledge in a vital support role. Efficient clerical work makes a huge difference to the workloads and outcomes of the hospital. You could well be involved in checking people in, supporting Drs and nurses, and a range of other tasks that depend on reliable and committed approaches to work.
This is an opportunity to volunteer in a field that you have an interest in, and in which you may not have worked in before.
This voluntary work in Africa program is ideal for volunteers of all ages, from pre-med students, through to retired medical practitioners. Indeed, this is an ideal opportunity volunteers without a medical background to join friends on electives or placements in the same hospital.
Ghana is a safe welcoming country in which to volunteer, with 24/7 support provided by our local partners. You will stay at our partner’s purpose equipped accommodation, a short walk from the hospital itself.

Whatever you will be doing, you will be immersed in the experience of Ghana, and health care, under the guiding supervision of the local programme directors who themselves are qualified medical professionals, DRs and Nurses, working in the hospitals and clinics.
In your free time during your voluntary work in Africa, you will have opportunity to visit the beaches, key tourist sites such as the coastal slave forts, and nature parks.
