We offer short research internships to 500 hour supervised research internships in Uganda, and Sri Lanka.

The design of your Research Internships

We design your research project around your own, and your university’s requirements.

A typical 500 hour supervised MA Research programme is 12 - 16 weeks.

Some universities stipulate the number of weeks, and others just the hours.

8 hours x 5 days is 13 weeks

8 hours x 6 days is 11 weeks

(A student visa, is $50 and is issued for 3, 6, or 12 months)

  • 1 day per week: University supervision

  • Weeks 1-2-4 of 12/16: this introduction and overview period is designed to introduce you to the people, the environment, culture, work places, staff, and clients, field work, and to identify what you wish the focus of your time to be from weeks 3, or 4 onwards.

  • 2-3 days per week, placement with government offices and staff, (e.g. psychologists, social workers) and in community settings.

  • 1 day / week - joining university led projects

  • 2-3 days / week: working in the field with our partner organisations with research related projects

  • 1 day per week writing
