  • Our projects in Ghana, ranked the 2nd most peaceful country in Africa (2024) (global rank 55, France 86, US 132)., are managed through a Ghanaian medical NGO, whose head is a nurse and public health officer.

    The accommodation you will stay at, a hostel, is owned and managed by the NGO is located in south Accra, close to the hospitals we work with, and the schools.

    Full board is provided, as is 24/7 support, and airport pickup.

  • join us in Ghana teaching in a range of school government, private and charity funded schools in and around Accra with pupil ratios of 90, 30, and 20 respectively.

    Volunteers have enriching and memorable experiences teaching the children who are polite and enthusiastic learners.

  • When a group of at least 4 UK 4th Year dental students (or US equivalent) join together, the NGO under the public health initiative run village outreaches for dental care. These are well attended by the rural people who have little access to dental care.

    This is a bolt-on to your dental elective in Ghana, which takes place in the hospital. Whilst the treatment is provided gratis, additional funds are necessary to pay for transport, and associated medical aids and treatments, for which the NGO asks you to fund raise in advance.

    You will be supervised by a local dentist on the placement.

Group Volunteers Kenya

  • Kenya offers a wide range of experiences reflecting the wide range of settings in the country.

    Groups can volunteer in urban areas, in schools, reforestation projects in coastal areas, agriculture projects, and working with the Maasi in wildlife conservation on the Maasai Mara and in their communities.

    Each of our projects in Kenya are run by established NGOs, and community organisations, with one operating in support of agriculture since the 1880s.

    All but one, the women’s HIV cooperative, are overseen and managed by a single partner NGO which ensures support and consistency for you our volunteers across the country.

    The accommodation is with local people in a homestay, with food provided, giving them a valued income, and you local 24/7 support and an invaluable experience getting to know local people and communities.

  • This project has multiple possibilities for a range of interests for volunteers of all backgrounds and experiences.

    Roles range from painting and decorating, teaching their pre-school children, supporting the women’s textile making and marketing, to accountancy support and more.

  • We offer a number of community projects in Kenya, linked to Wildlife Conservation, and Reforestation. The project with the Maasi on their tribal lands is multi-faceted and mutli-disciplinary that ranges across a spectrum spanning social work, teaching, agriculture and livestock management, to skills development and livelihood building. Find out more about this project with the Maasai, Kenya’s iconic people who are holding onto their lives and traditions where possible, and giving them up where necessary. (Their lion killing as a rite of passage has been replaced with competitive sports.)

Group Volunteer Uganda

  • Join us in Uganda from 2-12 weeks as either an individual, or in a group of 2 - 16 persons.

    We partner with an NGO that is linked with up to 15 other organisations (incluidng hospitals, and schools to provide you with a wide range of projects for professionals, students, and anyone willing to make a difference in the town of Mbarara where they are located.

  • Our partners work in a number of schools as well as with university groups in Mbarara.

    Schools teach through English and you can volunteer in schools as teachers across all subjects. You can also join with our partners who go into schools to develop healthy minds, attitudes, hope, and support for their todays and their futures.

    You can also join our partners supporting the university groups they meet with and empower.

  • This project with youth and community can be tailored to your requirements given the range of work that our partners engage in in Mbarara.

    We can include projects for mixed groups of students and professionals, working in the community.

  • We are regularly asked to support projects in different countries, and we are looking to support pediatric professionals in Uganda to establish a school for children of all ages who are cognitively impaired and disabled.

    These children often live isolated lives in villages due to local beliefs about curses and bad luck.

    If you are interested in helping identify the scale of need in an area near to Mbarara, as the first step in estimating the provision needed, through mapping, possibly as part of another project.

    This may also be something that an interested individual could do remotely, or a company could do remotely as a CSR project.

  • Our partners in Nepal have been actively involved in supporting local communities for over 30 years, which is as long as they have been running their trekking company, taking tourists on Himalaya treks.

    You will stay in their hotel in Kathmandu on full board, and can be guided on local tourism experiences by them whilst there.

    Group projects range from teaching in schools, to small scale infrastructure projects that benefit the community. (Building projects need to be funded through the group carrying out the work they select to do.)

    Projects can be up from 2 - 12 weeks

  • The people are always delighted when groups come to support learning in schools. Teaching English, as well as taking sports and art classes that engage the pupils are welcomed.

    We can accommodate groups up to 12 persons, and you can make these projects your own by returning each year and sponsoring the local school.

  • Our partner’s offer a range of trekking opportunities through their website, with a popular 10 day trek featured on our website.

    You could combine your volunteering experience with guided sightseeing, and or with a trekking experience. It’s up to you.

  • Join us in Sri Lanka, an amazing place that packs a continent of experiences into an island.

    This is the perfect place for groups to come to. The people are friendly, and welcoming, the place is very safe, and can be crossed in 4 hours East to West, and 9 hours North to south. There are beaches, the best place I have been to in Asia for seeing wildlife, and a wide range of projects you can make your own.

    You will stay at our hostel and HQ in Sri Lanka, and we can set up project to suit you and your group.

  • Our partners in Sri Lanka are the Ministry of Education, offering a fantastic opportunity to volunteer as a group in with primary, and secondary age pupils, as well as child monks in their schools.

    For those that do not enjoy teaching as much, you can design and paint murals in schools. which will be another thing they will remember you for.

    Pupils are well behaved, enthusiastic, and love having volunteers in the schools.

  • If you’d like to build toilets in villages, put in the infrastrtucture for bio-gas supply, or develop the infrastructure needed for transitioning to organic farming, or teach village children, then we can set you up with those projects.

    We’ll price timetable the work needed to be done, hire our local workers to support and train you.

    You can fund raise for the materials and wages of the workers supporting you. This cost for the whole project can be less than a tradesperson in London is paid for a day or a week, depending on the project scale.

  • Join us with the Sri Lanka Army dental corps and carry out a comprehensive dental elective, where we can host up to 8 students at a time.

    Each of the main specialist areas of dentistry are covered, which includes in-patient OMF and surgery.

    There is opportunity to see how dental restorations (crowns , bridges…) are made in-house for patients, and fitted.

    You can carry out practicums, which is decided by the army dentists on a case-by-case basis based upon the record of practical experience provided by you from your university.

    This is particularly beneficial for the UK’s Year 4 Dentistry Students who have a record of practical dentistry.

    You will have opportunity to visit other hospital settings too, to see government provision in a low income country that is free for all citizens.

  • We offer excellent Pre-Dental Summer and Winter Programs with the Sri Lanka Army dental corps, and can host up to 24 people - depending (based upon a 4-week program) .

    The program over 1 - 4 weeks is custom made for you and includes general and specialist dental shadowing, lectures and discussions around dental health in Sri Lanka.

    Visits to different types of hospitals from the well-resourced army hospital to the less well resourced hospitals for the public.

  • The groups we have hosted in Sri Lanka, have enjoyed coming here as ther is something for everyone, and we can organise a full tourist itinerary for you, or just advise you on where to go and what to do.

    There are beaches, bars, safaris, great food experiences, scenic train rides, wildlife spotting from your window and elephant spotting in the villages. There is white water rafting, culture, religious festivals, music festivals, whale watching, kite surfing… something for everyone to enjoy.
